Interesting to watch all the journo’s take on this morning’s speech. (22/3/10) They seem to have jumped on the superfast broadband bit without realising that it was only spin. Stephen Timms knows and has stated categorically that 10% of rural areas will never get ‘superfast’ broadband even with the proposed phone levy if it ever happens. As far as I am concerned it is up to the people to work together to make IT happen, if it is left to government or the telcos it won’t. I am not political, this applies to all parties.

The day will come very soon when people will demand from Estate Agents details to be made available on house descriptions, to include ‘DISTANCE FROM THE BT EXCHANGE’ !!

Me, I’m 7.5 K away from the nearest green box and so I’m one of the 10% you mention Chris, and you know how vocal I am about this huge issue.
